I make more noise trying to get my dog to be quiet than he's making in the first place. You just can't whisper "Shut Up!" effectively.

Hehehehehehe. And that's why we have rodents instead.
we had a chinchilla but she passed away last year. Number 1 wants a hampter but I'm not quite convinced of his ability to take care of one yet...now it's just the dog and fish.
We have a dog and thankfully he doesn't bark much. It is I who looks like the fool when trying to shush him when he gets into his mind to bark loudly at something.
