More Random Ramblings...
Man, it's Friday already? Where has this past week gone? I can hardly remember doing anything.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bubbles, I remember bubbles.
Apparently everyone knows that 2 year olds absolutely LOVE bubbles. If anyone remembers, last week was the little one's birthday. He'd already gotten a bubble blowing dog from his aunt, uncle, and cousins. My in-laws got him the bubble blowing tiger that matches the dog, and then my parents got him a bubble blowing lawn mower.
We've had a recent cool down, snow included that inhibited our outdoor bubble play. But, I'm not a total ass so I let him bring the dog and tiger inside. Let's face it, I need as much soap as possible to keep my kitchen floors clean.

Most of you know this weekend is Easter. That means a 4 day weekend for Number 1.
We weren't even out of the school parking lot before he was asking to have friends over. One of which is calm, the other...let's just say I've dubbed him a warm weather friend because everytime he's in the house I'm a nervous wreck. He's only allowed to come over when they can play outside. Mean, I guess but when he isn't eating, he's bouncing off the walls. He's a very polite kid, but has just a bit more energy than I can deal with on my own.
To make things more interesting, he only lives at the end of our street, so he just shows up from time to time. No matter how many times I've told him to call before stopping by(so that I can go to the store or something) he really just doesn't.
Growing up on a farm in the middle of nowhere, the thought of just walking to a friends house was a disant dream. I had a better chance of flying to the moon. I'm begining to see how having this ability is a bit of an inconvenience...

LOL, I hope you have a good weekend and don;t get to stessed about the bubbly kid. LOL. Happy FF
That's always the kid I tell we have a nasty virus in the house and I don't want him getting sick.
No friends for BabyKV yet, and if so they are always accompanied by adults. Its hard for 6 month old kids to play together. :)
Have a good Easter weekend.
Yeah, that's one of the things I"m not looking forward to - the hyperactive friend. I think I'll follow WeaselMomma's advice on that one.
Oh how the time flies and you got nothing to show for it!
Hah! My son's only fifteen months old so he doesn't really "friends" per se, but there is a neighbor girl from down the street (8 or 9) that is constantly coming over unannounced. She's a sweet kid, but VERY high energy and VERY high maintenance. I'm hopeful my kids take on my slightly more laid back attitude...without the heftyness.
So there with you...if only I could publicly blog about it...heck, ALl they gotta do is call...dunno why so many find that difficult?
Kudos!
That sounds like my buddy growing up. He lived next door and was over every Saturday morning before I even got up. He still has a ridiculous amount of energy. He could wear you out but we all loved him anyway.
What is it about bubbles that is so fascinating to kids?
haha @ "go to the store or something"
my own kids are always bouncing off walls, can you imagine kids who are worse than yours? oh yeah, try that one lol i don't let kids play w bubbles in the house...yeah, i'm an ass like that lol
This is funny. I hope when my son goes to school, he has many friends...I will keep an eye on this kind of kid
Oh boy...I hadn't even thought of this predicament until you brought it up. I have no idea how I'd handle this when Peanut is older (and her friends show up unannounced). Thank you for giving me something else to worry about. LOL
I'm in my late 20's and I still think bubbles are cool. ;)
Happy FF!
One word. Vodka. Cures nervousness...
